Eat Green for Mother Earth

Mother Earth: the giver of life, and the receiver of global warming and a near-approaching environmental catastrophe.

For all the love, life and nurturing she has provided her inhabitants over the years, Mother Earth has received little thanks.  Global warming, deforestation and polluted waters are some of the many ailments we have imposed upon the planet.  Time is running out, we must act now to save the world and all her animals.

Everyone knows that riding a bicycle, recycling and using energy saving light bulbs is good for the planet.  However, one of the most effective ways of cutting our carbon footprints and saving animals is to be energy-efficient eaters!  If we change our diets we can change the world!  Of course, you already know all this, because you are a very wise veggie Viva! supporter.  But there are plenty of people out there who don’t!  Help us to raise awareness of energy efficient eating (like the light bulbs – only better)!

We’re asking young people across the country to get involved and get our point across in their classrooms!  We want you to get involved!  Ask your form tutor/favourite teacher if you can hold a Save Mother Earth week in your school/college/university.  We’ll send you all the free materials you need; posters, leaflets, stickers and magazines.

There are plenty of ways you can raise awareness of your stall. You could:

    • Put posters up around school
    • Bake some vegan cupcakes to raise money
    • Ask your teacher to mention it in assembly
    • You could give a talk in assembly, or a talk to your class about saving Mother Earth
